I would like to say that the shea butter and African Black Soap are outstanding.  I would like to know what exactly are the ingredients in this African black soap that make it so different than others.  I have even tried it on my face even though I was a little apprehensive at first.   What this soap does for me is exfoliate as if I were using an alpha-hydroxyl cream or scrub and still leaves my skin moisturised.  Not to mention the lather.  What is in this stuff?   I love it.  Sandy,  Maryland, USA.

Anne, Eugenia’s shea butter is absolutely delicious!  Because it has not been refined (chemically stripped) for allmenn smoother, neater appearance).  It is more of what I call ‘heart’ – I think that it has more of what nature gave it.  Use it to the same method and weight as you would in your shea butter I have used it in CP Soap, whipped it for body butters and used it in lotions all with great success.  And I have taken it out of the bag and just rubbed it on my body.

I have been totally pleased with the shea butter Margie supplies.  The aroma is wonderful.  I have had the (baby poop colour and smell) poor quality stuff and it has gone in the trash.  (Margie is one of my biggest customers in Texas)  Cindy TX, USA.

Hello Carol, I saw your post regarding Shea butter suppliers on the In-Toiletries list – I didn’t what to announce this lady’s information to the whole world (via the list) but I would like to share it with you.  I have been purchasing Raw, Natural, Unrefined Shea from a lady named Eugenia since the spring.  I first heard about her on the soul sisters soap list.  As I have gotten to know her, I have learned that she is as special as the shea that she supplies.  She is from Ghana and some of her family is still there… she lives in Virginia and makes annual visits to Ghana.  Her price is excellent, I believe and did I already tell you how much that I love her shea?  It is the only shea that I have used since I began making cold processed soaps---- and the only shea that I hope that I will ever use.  I have purchased shea from several different sources mostly before I met Eugenia, and a few since then – just to compare because I want very much to learn more about shea butter (and black soap as well).  I recently ordered a lb. through the buying group – it is nice but does not hold a candle in my opinion to Eugenia’s.  Since I have been using her shea I have recommended to many people that they purchase from her at least one of the major websites is now offering her shea at a special sale price of $8.50/lb.   Margie,   Texas, USA.
