Naasakle Limited is owned and operated by Eugenia Akuete. She is very passionate about Sheabutter and has used it as a moisturizer for the past 40 years. She went into the business in 1999 to package and sell shea butter originally. Just buying from the local women and packaging to sell in the U.S.A. In 2002 / 2003 as a result of a USAID sponsored conference organised by the Corporate Council on Africa in Washington DC and Bamako, Mali which she attended she decided to go into processing of shea nuts into shea butter.

The goal is to better control the quality of the shea butter that she markets and also directly help the women and their communities. Thus Naa sakle Limited came into existence with a factory located in Accra, Ghana. Naasakle Limited is the only company located in Accra that produces shea butter by traditional methods. We currently produce 6 tons a month with a capacity to produce 32 tons a month. We are in the process of sourcing for funding to buy additional machinery that will increase capacity to 300 tons a month. This will take us to the next level in our growth and enable us realize economies of scale that will make us more competitive. We process on order to give our customers the very best fresh butter.

We currently supply shea butter to customers in the U.S.A., Canada, South Africa and are in the process of developing markets in Thailand, Australia, UK, China and India. We are planning the addition of cold processed shea butter to the traditionally produced product and will acquire an intergrated oil extraction plant to be located in Tamale by the end of the year 2006. The extraction plant when in operation will increase capacity to 300 tons a  month of mechanically extracted sheabutter and 100 tons of traditionally processed shea butter.
